  • China Dolls

The grand occasion was in conjunction of Samling's founder,
Datuk Yaw's 70th birthday. The launching of Yaw Teck Seng
foundation started at 5pm, followed by a gala dinner where
singers from Malaysia, Singapore & China were invited.

Dinner was extremely sumptuous, with lobster & birds nest
as part of the menu. As an usherette, I was very honoured
to have the opportunity to shake hands with Sarawak's Chief
    Minister, and his wife.

We adjourned to this hall for gala dinner after the foundation launch

The hall accommodated 150 tables, thus we need LCD screens

Braised noodle with chicken, mushroom, carrot and cabbage

    Lobster :)

Birds Nest Chicken Soup (Individual Serving)

    Broccoli with Mushroom & Abalone
All usherettes were on duty, passing gifts to all guests, thus
the waiter divided into individual portions to make way for future
    servings

    Steamed Fish

I missed the cute longevity bun ('Man Tau') & the fresh fruits pallet
as we had to be on duty :)

    Throughout the night, the drinks were on a free flow basis;
Fruit juices, red wine, beer, champagne, chinese tea

All tired usherettes adjourned home at 12am. The worse part for me
was the make up removal & the midnight hair washing. My left eye
turned red & swelled slightly, most probably due to tiredness &
also the make up that went in?

The effort of the working committees for the success of this event
    should be greatly applauded.

As for me, I had a great time (except for my feet) with many other
Samling beauties. Something afresh and different from the mundane
routine work in the jungle :)
